On September 15, 2003, flash flooding along the Red Clay Creek from Tropical Storm Henri destroyed 6 of our historic wooden bridges, and displaced miles of roadbed.

Although forced to operate on only 2.5 miles of track, we vowed to rebuild,
and rebuild we did.
