In the summer of 2007, the Delaware state legislature honored the Wilmington & Western with the distinction of being "Delaware's Operating Railroad Museum." Unlike other railroad museums, which present their equipment as static displays, we operate our historic equipment so that our visitors can better appreciate their purpose and function.

But our Railroad is more than just equipment. A closer look reveals over 140 years of history within our organization and along our rails. A small portion of that history is presented here.
